A film making club for ordinary people just like you

First of all we aren't experts or professional editors or cameramen. We are just your average enthusiastic Joe`s who want to make films and enjoy the company of others while we do it. For over 50 years our club has existed helping budding editors and cameramen to make exceptional films, sharing expertise, friendship and having fun doing it.
Some of us are quite experienced but a lot of us are really just beginners at all of this so if you have never done any filming or editing at all you will fit right in with the us.
If you are a student doing media or film and need a hand completing an assignment we are only too pleased to lend a hand if we can. If you are retired and always thought of doing this but didn't get around to it ..well here's your
chance. All are very welcome to come along.
Whether you are still at school or a good bit older, male or female you will find a place here.
Why don't you just send us a message or come along to a meeting .... the only thing we ask of you is that you enjoy it and have a good time.

Online Zoom meetings

We will be having Zoom meeting throughout the season as the need arises
If you want to join in, or just attend, then contact us and we will put you on the guest list.

Live streaming meeting

We plan to live stream some physical meetings from our hall in Aycliffe Village. That way you will never miss a presentations or tutorials. These will all be archived to watch again at a later date.

Physical meeting in a hall

Twice a month on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm we will meet for 2 hours at our hall in Aycliffe Village. We have guest speakers, tutorials, demonstrations and a catchup on projects on the go. But more than that we just like each other's company and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

We are always looking for interesting collaborations and projects

In the past we have often worked with charities, youth organisations and loads of musicians. Our aim is to produce videos for the people who really need them but simply haven't got the money to pay a profession videographer.
At the same time we get to create some widely diverse videos with some amazing people.
We are hoping to do a lot more theatrical type pieces now we have access to the local dramatic societies. We are also planning to collaborate with screen writers and film score musicians, again non professionals, just people like us waiting to see a project they have been working on for years actually coming to fruition.
If you are a script-writer, play-right, an actor, dancer or anything like that please consider being a part of our cooperative..no strings just mutual support.
If you think you have something that you think we could do together then why not contact us and have a chat. We are always open for interesting projects.

Contacting us will cost you nothing so why don't you just come and join a Zoom meeting or a phsical meeting. Just come and watch or join in the conversation if you want to. You will never know who we are until you come along.

What we are not

We do not ask for payment for helping charities etc.
We are not here to be some ones cheap crew.
We are not here to take jobs from professionals if the clients can afford to pay for it.
We do all our jobs on a voluntary basis. If we decide its not for us then thats as far as we will take it.
We will not be liable for any issues or omissions for any reason what so ever.
